BDIA Berlin, Berlin Design Week
The bdia bund deutscher innenarchitekten – Association of German Interior Architects/Designers – is the professional association of the interior architects/designers in Germany. The bdia promotes and strengthens the profession of interior architects and the practice of interior architects/designers.
It represents its members in the public, in politics regarding the law making process, in the Federal Chamber of Architects and on the local level in the Chambers of Architects in the “Länder” and acts as spokesperson in industry and business. The bdia also cooperates at the European and international level while engaging in The European Council of Interior Architects (ECIA) as well as in the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI). The association accompanies also the education of the rising generation and therefore works together with German universities with studies of interior architecture.
The bdia creates a platform for information, communication and exchange of experience. Various services are offered to the members who are interior architects students of interior architecture. Interested contractors and companies of related business as interior design, lighting, construction, furniture, textiles, flooring etc. can become members in the promoter circle of the bdia.

Berlin Design Week
Once a year, BERLIN DESIGN WEEK turns the German capital into a platform for innovative design. Our program will comprise experts talks, installations, exhibitions, research results, presentations up to workshops. The multifaceted program will be held over ten days in parallel at many different locations in the city by integrating the iF design award night and the iF design award exhibition. We are working on an extensive program of experts talks and exhibitions with some of our our guest countries like Finland, Great Britain, Korea and Brazil as well as a talk series with local and international Institutions in the field of research, science and creative industries, e.g. the u-institut, the Fraunhofer Cerri, the Futurium and 360Inspiration, FutureS Thinking Group.
Timorous Beasties
Timorous Beasties is a design lead manufacturing company based in Scotland, at its core producing fabrics and wallpapers for high-end hospitality, commercial and residential interiors. Noted for surreal and provocative design, the studio was founded in Glasgow in 1990.
It is a multi-award-winning, internationally acclaimed company at the forefront of British design, working with clients such as Fortnum & Mason, Victoria and Albert Museum, Johnnie Walker and Nike.
Timorous Beasties also works in a wide range of disciplines including graphics, furniture, ceramics and glass.
Winners of the Walpole Award for ‘Best Emerging British Luxury Brand’ in 2007 and ‘British Luxury Design Talent’ in 2010, the company now has three branded showrooms in Glasgow, London and Berlin.
